Between 2010-2013 MAROM worked together with American playwright Sarah Gancher on the 7th project, which includes seven different theatrical and site specific elements. Gancher wrote four different theatre plays about how is it to be Hungarian and Jewish in Budapest in the early 2000s. Four of these plays were translated into Hungarian and presented to the Hungarian audience in Budapest. in 2013 Gancher added a fourth piece about the story of Sirály, MAROM’s community squat which was closed down by the municipality in 2013. The play called “The place we built” together with the previous plays won several prizes in America and were produced as staged readings or experimental performances.
